¹⁰ And a man was there whose hand was withered. And they questioned ^[a]Jesus, asking, “^(A)Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”—so that they might bring charges against Him. ¹¹ But He said to them, “^(B)What man ^[b]is there among you who ^[c]has a sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out? ^12 (C)How much more valuable then is a person than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do ^[d]good on the Sabbath.”

³⁰ For ^(A)My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light.”

³⁵ And one of them, ^[a](A)a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him: ³⁶ “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” ³⁷ And He said to him, “‘^(B)You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ ³⁸ This is the great and ^[b]foremost commandment. ³⁹ The second is like it, ‘^(C)You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ^40 (D)Upon these two commandments ^[c]hang the whole Law and the Prophets.”
